The project JET 4000 AME has been developed to meet the needs of completeness and robustness. The JET 4000 AME is in fact a control panel and datalogger, full of functions, constantly updated over the years. The project was born in 1999 for Italmec, then continued from 2001 for DAT instruments. The JET 4000 AME datalogger records several parameters, depending on the version of the internal firmware and the sensors connected to it:
- version I, per prove Lugeon, permeability test, cement injections, injections with GIN method (grouting intensity number) and valved poles (records pressure, flow rate, volume, time and duration);
- version J, per perforations, geognostic surveys, jet grouting, soil mixing, CFA, vibroflotting (it records depth, travel speed, pressure, flow rate, volume, rotation speed, rotation torque, pushing force, inclination, deviation, current, time, duration and GPS coordinates).
The measured data is displayed in real time on the MONITOR of the JET 4000 AME, both in numerical and graphic format. They are also recorded on the three internal memories. After that, the recorded data can be downloaded to a PC to view, store and print the graphs.
The JET 4000 AME is not only a datalogger, but also a tool to automate the equipment, thanks to the outputs it is equipped with.
JET 4000 AME, the project
The JET 4000 AME project exploited my knowledge of electronics and computer science for the realization of electrical diagrams, the unraveling of printed circuit boards, the programming of microprocessor firmware, as well as software on PC.
Internal electronic cards, schematic design and unraveling of the mainboard printed circuit board, which has the following characteristics:
- central microprocessor;
- RTC, I2C watch;
- 4 banks of flash memory, parallel port;
- switching power stage;
- keyboard input port, 64 keys;
- output port for LCD monitors;
- USB host interface for data transfer on pen-drive;
- RS232 port, with USB adapter for PC;
- 4 communication ports for external peripherals;
- analog inputs (selectable input signal: 0-5V or 4-20mA);
- open-collector digital outputs for relays;
- current limiter for input and sensor protection;
- Status LED.
Keyboard: design of the layout and wiring diagram.
Microprocessor firmware: development of all the functions necessary to operate all the components of the mainboard, implementation of communication protocols and, also, programming of features for the end user.
Software per PC Windows: see project JET S 104.
Programming languages: Assembler, VB.
